Today, from One Nova Care Way...

-Andy Reid classified the injury to RB Brian Westbrook as an "ankle strain."  As far as his timetable for return, the head coach said the Pro Bowler's "literally day to day," and that no ligaments were torn.  He believes it'll be a "race" to have Westbrook ready in time for Sunday's game at Chicago.

-Westbrook left Lincoln Financial Field on crutches last night, but Reid said that he "limped" around the Nova Care Complex without them today.  Reid considered that sign a "positive."

-A positive on the injury front for the Birds is that WR Kevin Curtis will be gradually worked back into the fold this week.  The receiver, who suffered a sports hernia heading into the opening game of the 2008 campaign, should start to get some reps with the scout squad this week.

-More to come in a little while...
