As far as his timetable for return, the head coach said the Pro Bowler's "literally day to day," and that no ligaments were torn. He believes it'll be a "race" to have Westbrook ready in time for Sunday's game at Chicago. -Westbrook left Lincoln Financial Field on crutches last night, but Reid said that he "limped" around the Nova Care Complex without them today. Reid considered that sign a "positive." -A positive on the injury front for the Birds is that WR Kevin Curtis will be gradually worked back into the fold this week. The receiver, who suffered a sports hernia heading into the opening game of the 2008 campaign, should start to get some reps with the scout squad this week. -More to come in a little while... |
